Part of Hawkshead’s ‘huge hop’ range, Windermere Pale is made using Maris Otter Pale Ale malt and wheat. The hops are a mixture of traditional and modern with the stand out signature hop being Citra.
It is a stronger version of the award winning 3.5% Windermere Pale.

Review and Tasting

Appearance:

Slight haze, mid golden with a one finger thick, white head and light lacing.

Aroma:

Lemon zest with faint pine, cut grass and fruity caramel.

Taste:

Bitter pine sap and lemon zest hops dominate with very subdued malts.

Aftertaste:

Lingering metallic and zesty lemon hop bitterness.
