A 12 year old from Linkwood distillery in Speyside. Distilled 2000 with one cask producing 762 bottles in 2012. One of four single cask malts released by Wemyss Malts in January 2013, each representing a different Scottish whisky region and each named after the whisky’s character.

Sampled on 03/02/2013

Appearance:

Clear, pale straw yellow.

Aroma:

Pear drops, cream-of-soda vanilla, bread dough, creamy porridge and salty sea air.

Taste:

Slightly sweet, salty and very fresh with green apples and crisp pears. Creamy, buttery, biscuity vanilla.

Aftertaste:

Salty, sweet pear, lingering oiliness.
