Sadly under U.S. rules, 'spirit whiskey' is a distilled spirit that contains at least 5% whiskey with the remaining up to 95% being neutral spirit (vodka). Kansas Clean is one such ‘whiskey’. The 5% whiskey component must confirm to the legal definition of whisky but may be very lightly aged.

Clear, with a very faint straw yellow tinge.
Waxy white chocolate, popcorn and cacao powder with vanilla and faint poached pear fruit.
Slightly sweet, milky chocolate and with delicate butterscotch, cinnamon, nutmeg and a hint of chilli spice and liquorice.
Dry, lightly spiced and faintly smoky, white chocolate finish. This is a good product but as far as we are concerned it ain’t no whiskey. Hence our rating as ‘shameful’. Loose the whisky bashing branding and marketing and we’d give a good 4.
