Released in May 2013 to celebrate ten years of Renaissance Pubs (2003-2013). Ten London Gin is made by steeping and distilling 13 botanicals including lime flowers and cinnamon alongside juniper and other more traditional ingredients.

Renaissance Pubs are all situated in South London so appropriately this gin was distilled in South London – at Thames Distillery Clapham for Renaissance Pubs.

Review and Tasting

Sampled on 12/05/2013

Appearance:

Crystal clear

Aroma:

Strong pepper spice with pungent piney juniper. Subtle vegetal note and also a whiff reminiscent of new car tyre rubber.

Taste:

Aggressive pepper and cinnamon spice on a forceful palate with equally powerful piney juniper.

Aftertaste:

Long lingering intense spice and liquorice. Seeing that this gin celebrates a tenth anniversary we’d love to have seen three of the botanicals omitted – particularly the cinnamon and whatever is yielding the hot peppery note.
