Sôn Tinh Chanh Leo is a Vietnamese liqueur flavoured with passion fruits from the southern highland regions around Da Lat. It is produced by macerating extracts of the fruit in matured Sôn Tinh sticky rice spirit. The infusion is rested for three years prior to bottling.

'Chanh' translates as lemon in English but Chanh Leo means passion fruit.

Appearance:

(sample produced in 2010) Slight haze, golden amber.

Aroma:

Dried apricot and passion fruit with honey and cinnamon spice.

Taste:

Passion fruit, light honey sweetness, apple pie and cinnamon spice.

Aftertaste:

Cooked passion fruit and cinnamon spice.
