Made by Oreste Sconfi, owner of La Canellese, a producer of vermouth since 1957, working with Oscar Quagliarini, a bartender from Milan now working in Paris. The international trio behind the creation of this vermouth is completed by David Caon, a Sydney, Australia based Italian packaging designer.

Oscar No 697 Rosso Vermouth contains 14% sugar and is naturally coloured with burnt sugar caramel.

Appearance:

Clear, orange amber.

Aroma:

Amaro-like nose with rhubarb, rooty notes, liquorice, zesty citrus and cinnamon spice.

Taste:

Sweet red berry fruit with liquorice, citrus zest, rooty herbal complexity and underlying wormwood bitterness. Very light cinnamon spice.

Aftertaste:

Drier finish with pleasing herbal, spice, fruit and balancing wormwood bitterness. Lingering liquorice.
