Sélection Saint-Sauvant is a blend of some of the best cognacs in the Merlet family’s cellars and consequently is released in limited editions.
Assemblage No.1 was bottled in 2013 and is a blend of eaux-de-vie from Petite Champagne and Grand Champagne aged over 10 years with Fins bois (1992 and 2001) and 1993 Petite Champagne.

Appearance:
(sample Assemblage No.1 bottled in 2013) Clear, golden amber.
Aroma:
Leather, dried apricot and elegant oak with prunes, violet/lavender blossom and faint orange.
Taste:
Raisins, prunes and lightly spiced freshly sawn oak with apricot, almond and cinnamon spice.
Aftertaste:
Dry finish with toasty oak, nuts, cinnamon and nutmeg spice.
