Part of Sam Adams’ Barrel Room Collection, Stony Brook Red takes its inspiration from Flemish reds. Brewed with Samuel Adams two-row pale malt blend, Munich, Dingemans Special B, and Dingemans Aromatic malt’, and Hallertau Mittelfrueh hops using a Belgian top-fermenting yeast strain. IBU: 10

Aged in oak barrels, Stoney Brook Red is described as being “A unique Belgium style red with a hint of tart fruit and toasted oak character.”

Appearance:

Clear, cherry amber red with a thin but retentive beige head.

Aroma:

Cherry, raspberry and dried cranberries.

Taste:

Strong alcohol is very obvious. Slightly sweet balanced by earthy sourness with pronounced cherry and raspberry jam.

Aftertaste:

Long fruity, cherry influenced finish.
