A limited edition imperial stout aged in ex-Jameson Irish whiskey barrels. The name of this Beavertown brew was inspired by "Ger", the fifth generation master Cooper at the Jameson distillery.

Review and Tasting

Appearance:

(sample best before Jan/2024) Opaque, black with very thin tan head.

Aroma:

Coal tar, molasses and leather with faint whiskey

Taste:

Full-bodied. Molasses, coal tar, burnt blackened fruitcake, bitter oak tannins and spirity bite.

Aftertaste:

Coffee, molasses, chocolate, liquorice and bitter coal tar.

Overall:

A spiritus imperial stout with rich molasses countering bitter coal tar notes.
