The label of this Limoncello declares "grown in Amalfi, distilled in England, born in Soho". Released in September 2015 as a limited edition, Pococello is the result of a collaboration between Chase Distillery and Thom and James Elliot, the founders of Pizza Pilgrims of Soho, London.

Pococello follows Sohocello released in 2014. Both of these limoncellos are made by Chase using Amalfi lemons which are hand-peeled and macerated in Chase Distillery's 96% Hereford potato spirit for seven days prior to reducing to bottling strength with a blend of sugar and water.

Appearance:

Cloudy, milky yellow.

Aroma:

Pungent zest lemon and lemon meringue pie filling.

Taste:

Almost creamy mouthfeel, sharp lemon zest oils and tangy citric acidity.

Aftertaste:

Long zesty lemony finish with cleansing acidity.

Overall:

A well-balanced limoncello with generous fresh sharp and zesty lemon oils.
