Appearance:

(sample bot BBE Nov/17) Slight haze, chestnut brown with thick retentive beige head and heavy lacing.

Aroma:

Malty (Marmite on toast), dried fruits and floral aromas.

Taste:

Bitter burnt malty notes, caramel and smoky peat with mild tar, fruit cake and orange zest.

Aftertaste:

More burnt malty notes, blackened fruit cake and faintly smoky peat.

Overall:

Burnt malty notes with faint tar characterise this ale with blackened fruit cake, tar and orange zest.
