Ron Abuelo (literally ‘Grandfather’s rum in Spanish) is distilled from fermented molasses at the family owned Varela Hermanos distillery in Panama. Aged in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels for a reported minimum of 5 years.

Appearance:

Clear, pale golden amber.

Aroma:

Buttery fudge.

Taste:

Silky with buttery fudge, praline chocolate, overripe banana and spicy tobacco.

Aftertaste:

White pepper spiced toffee.
