Review and Tasting

Sampled on 12/06/2016

Appearance:

Cloudy, amber yellow with a very thick retentive white head. A very lively beer.

Aroma:

Pungent with citrusy hops – zesty orange and lime opal fruits. Honeyed bready maltiness.

Taste:

Bready with pronounced steely hop bitterness. Faint liquorice root notes.

Aftertaste:

Long bready finish with lingering hop bitterness.

Overall:

Such pronounced bready malty notes and hop bitterness that this Italian beer is a long way from what most would expect of a “pilsner”.
