To make Sipsmith vodka, Sipsmith charge their Prudence still with English barley neutral spirit hydrated to 60-65% alc./vol. and then distil employing all five plates in Prudence's fractional distillation column.
After a head of around 2% of the run has been discarded, the first 40% of the heart is collected to make Sipsmith vodka. (The second part of heart is kept for re-distillation to make Sipsmith gin.) The vodka comes off the still at around 89% alc./vol. and only 5 micron passive filter pads are used prior to reducing to bottling strength with Lydwell Spring water.

(Batch BV/062) Crystal clear.
Clean, lightly brazil nutty nose with wholemeal flour and spirity cracked black pepper.
Equally clean with an almost creamy mouthfeel, slightly sweet palate with buttery barley and peppery vanilla.
Continues to be sweet throughout the nutty, lightly peppery finish.
