Review and Tasting

Sampled on 03/09/2016

Appearance:

Clear but so dark in colour that its almost opaque, very deep black-cherry red.

Aroma:

Pungent blackberry, blackcurrant and redcurrant with cracked black pepper, earthy leather, vanilla, balsamic and tobacco leaf.

Taste:

Rich blackberry, plum and redcurrant with accompanying bold fruit tannins, dry toasty oak, cocoa and black pepper spice.

Aftertaste:

Long lingering red fruit, caramel, bitter tannins and black pepper spice.

Overall:

Rich red berry fruit, dry tannins, toasty oak and enlivening black pepper spice presented in a full-bodied red with a long dry finish. Needs to be accompanied by food and will stand up to bold flavoured dishes.
