Distilled for London’s Berry Bros. & Rudd by Ironroot Republic distillery of Texas, this bourbon celebrates the events of 1842 when the Lone Star State set up its legation above Berry Brother’s shop at No 3 St. James Street in an attempt to shore up the then Republic’s independence against the USA.

Clear, coppery amber.
Pungent pencil shaving oak, vanilla fudge, freshly baked brown bread, buttery new leather and toasted pecan. Faint overripe banana is accentuated with water.
Intensely flavoured with dry woody tannins, maple and pecan, balanced by rich vanilla and some overripe banana. Enlivening black pepper spice.
New leather, vanilla fudge and black pepper spice with light nuttiness.
Berry Bros. & Rudd, describe this whiskey as being a “young, bold bourbon” – a very accurate summary. It may lack subtlety but its youthful woody exuberance is presented with appealing new leather, vanilla fudge and toasted pecan.
