Vinification: “Cool maceration takes 2 days at 8ºC. The wine is seeded with selected yeasts and ferments at 26ºC between 15-20 days. Maceration takes from 10 to 15 days more.” “40% of the wine is matured in American Oak Barrels for eight months.”

Appearance:

Clear, deep purple-burgundy red.

Aroma:

Black cherries, ripe plum and black currant fruit with violet, oak, liquorice, mocha coffee and faint smoke.

Taste:

Wonderfully rounded, with dark berry and plum fruit, lightly spiced oak, faint coal dust and wood smoke, delicate anise, enlivening black pepper and balancing tannins.

Aftertaste:

Plum and blackberry fruit with slightly metallic, drying charcoal and lightly spiced oak tannins.

Overall:

Red berry and plum fruit, lightly spiced oak, faint coal dust, enlivening black pepper and balancing tannins.
