Following an initial one year resting in stainless steel vats, this Riserva grappa is aged for three years in oak casks sourced from the same forest in Slavonia, Croatia, used by Nardini since it became the first distiller to market aged grappa some 70 years ago.

Appearance:

Clear, pale amber.

Aroma:

White pepper spice, green grapes, ash wood, monofilament fishing line and oily nuttiness with vanilla, maraschino, and white cacao.

Taste:

White pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, brazil nut, strawberry, carob, cacao nib, lemon curd and balsawood.

Aftertaste:

Mellow oily nutty and overripe banana notes fade leaving moderate lingering peppery spice.

Overall:

Elegant with pleasing oily, nutty, fruity, carob and cacao nib enlivened by complex spice.
