An Icelandic Scotch Ale, brewed with locally smoked Icelandic barley, pale ale malt, crystal malt, chocolate malt, Bavarian hops, and Icelandic angelica root.

Appearance:

Opaque, deep mahogany brown. Thick creamy tan head with good retention and thick lines of lacing.

Aroma:

Pungent fruity bready malt, caramel and light smokiness with chocolate and pine.

Taste:

Full-bodied. Sweet caramel maltiness balances hop bitterness, dry pine and stewed tea-like tannins with appealing smokiness, chocolate, coffee and dried fruits.

Aftertaste:

Chocolate, coffee and caramel with good hop bitterness.

Overall:

Rich but balanced with sweet caramel malt, appealing smoky note, chocolate, coffee and dried fruits. It might not be from Scotland but it's a fair representation of a wee heavy.
