Although a Ship Full of IPA is a non-alcoholic beer, it is brewed to the same as the original gravity as the breweries 5.8% beer, then the alcohol is removed by distilling. The beer is dry hopped with Amarillo, Citra, Cascade, Ella and Galaxy.
Sampled on 25/03/2019
(sample bottle best before 04/Dec/19) Clear, deep bronze amber with medium, retentive light tan head and good lacing.
Piney hops and caramel malt.
Medium-bodied. Piney hop bitterness dominates with underlying caramel malt and subtle fruitcake, melon and zest white grapefruit.
Piney hop bitterness with toasty malt, zesty white grapefruit and pleasing burnt fruitcake.
As non-alcohol beers go, this is rather good. What it lacks in ethanol it makes up for with assertive piney hop bitterness, but this bitterness is perhaps a tad too assertive.
