Review and Tasting

Sampled on 28/09/2019

Appearance:

Clear but almost opaque. Deep, chestnut brown with a thin beige head.

Aroma:

Burnt toast, earthy coal dust, figs and coffee.

Taste:

Light-bodied with average carbonation. Thin on the palate with burnt toast, liquorice, caramel and coffee.

Aftertaste:

Burnt toast and liquorice.

Overall:

Thin on the palate, surprisingly so for such a dark beer, even one that's a mere 1% alc./vol. However, with flavours of burnt toast, liquorice, caramel and coffee, this a tasty option for moments of moderation.
