Vermò is a vermouth di Torino (IGP) made in Piedmont using traditional methods but with a Spanish and contemporary influences, including the use of Chardonnay alongside the more classic Trebbiano as bases wine to add extra acidity and better balance.
Botanicals used to flavour Vermò include ginger, white pepper, aloe and mint alongside more traditional botanicals such as vanilla, cinnamon, orange. Although orange is used it is designed not to predominate with lemon used for "its fresher notes." Indeed, the brand owners recommend "garnishing Vermò with a lemon peel, either when served on the rocks or when mixed with tonic water/soda."
The sugar content has been reduced to almost the minimum allowed by the di Torino IGP at have 14% (vs. 13% minimum).
