Made from wild yeast fermented sugar cane molasses, distilled in double retort pot stills, and matured for four years in Jamaica. Bottled at natural colour, without the addition of caramel.
HLCF is one of several marks used at Hampden Estate and stands for Hampden Light Continental Flavoured, referring to a rum with a high ester concentration, ranging from 400 to 600gr/HLPA. This stems from European rum traders seeking such high-ester rums to use in small quantities to pep up their otherwise bland rums.

Clear, golden amber.
Pungent, funky banana bread, chargrilled pineapple, toasty oak and cinnamon-led spice.
Huge!. Explodes on the palate. Spirituous spice subdues to reveal toasty oak, bready grilled pineapple and flambeed banana.
Slightly burnt chargrilled pineapple and blackened banana bread.
A huge cask-strength rum that's brilliant tamed with a splash of cola or to add a blast of Jamaican funk to a cocktail.
