Review and Tasting

Sampled on 07/09/2011

Appearance:

Light red with a brown tinge.

Aroma:

Slightly subdued sloe gin nose with good almond notes.

Taste:

As the label rightly says, this “Sloe gin is paler in colour, stronger and drier in taste”. The medium dry palate is recognisably a sloe gin but without the familiar sweet jammy notes which makes for more a ‘light fruity spirit’ than a ‘liqueur’ drinking experience.

Aftertaste:

We understand this is a popular hip flask tipple with the hunting fraternity and can see why. Well balanced and very moreish.
