Rothman & Winter Orchard Quince Liqueur is a blend of fresh-pressed quince juice with fine quince eau-de-vie, both produced from the October harvest in alpine valleys throughout the Austrian region of Oberösterreich.

Haus Alpenz, the US importer, describes this quince liqueur as having "vivid aromas and tastes of quince, a fruit that offers notes of apple, pear, bright citrus, honey, and rose." They say it is "Sweet, tangy and floral. Delicious mixed with soda, green tea, sparkling wine, agave spirits, or gin, and brings a welcome tartness and acidity to cocktails."

Appearance:

Clear, orange-amber. Slight precipitation evident on base of bottle.

Aroma:

Quince and honey with lavender and citrus.

Taste:

Sweet, yet with balancing tart quince and zesty lemon. There's a distinctive ripe pear and green tea note. Indeed, the US importer recommends mixing this liqueur with green tea.

Aftertaste:

Honeyed sweetness with ripe pear and balancing, lingering quince and citric acidity.
