Brewed with rice, malted barley, hops and water Beerlao is the flagship beer of Lao Brewery Company. It was launched in 1973 and has since become the best-selling beer brand in Laos.

Review and Tasting

Appearance:

(sampled from can, best before 07/Feb/15) Clear, pale golden amber with thick but quickly diminishing white head and very little lacing.

Aroma:

light grassy hops, white bready crust and toasted rice cakes.

Taste:

Light bodied and a tad bland with white bread crust and grassy hops.

Aftertaste:

Grassy, white breadcrust finish. (When it comes to Beerlao, cans are better than bottles in our experience.)
