Blended using whiskies from 1981 and subsequent years, 5,000 collectable ceramic Wade decanters were released in 2011, each adorned with three illustrations of the grouse taking flight, painted by British wildlife artist Rodger McPhail, the artist behind the Grouse label itself.

Appearance:

Clear, deep golden amber with copper flecks.

Aroma:

Pungent heather honey with vanilla, orange zest, oily leather and fragrant lavender aromas.

Taste:

Robust malty palate with old leather, orange zest, vanilla and a touch of lemon citrus.

Aftertaste:

Lightly smoky, delicately spiced finish with lingering malty honey.
