Everleaf & sustainability

Everleaf's mission is: "To draw from our deep understanding of the natural world to make the best non-alcoholic products. Best tasting, best for the planet."

Sustainability is at the core of Everleaf's ethos from the sourcing of ingredients through to their branding. The Everleaf name was chosen by founder Paul Mathew, a conservation biologist who worked to ensure threatened plant species could be found forever. The Everleaf icon is a 'Forever- Leaf', one infinite line that symbolises the sustainable use of plants and their conservation.

Everleaf have three ways of staying true to their mission:

Sourcing

Everleaf uses many sustainably sourced plants, always keeping the environment, conservation, local community and social initiatives at the forefront of everything they do. For example, Everleaf's gum acacia supplier has a foundation that supports Africa's Great Green Corridor, and their Madagascan vanilla supplier supports education, conservation and women's rights. Other ingredients, such as Japanese cherry blossom, have traceable supply chains that prove sustainability.

This way of working has many benefits, including high-quality plants that produce the best flavours.

Everleaf say they are constantly working on their methods of sourcing ingredients and the recipes they create with them.

Working

They are a B Corp Company, meaning they have been certified externally by B Labs and have met the social and environmental standards that represent a commitment to goals outside shareholder profit.

They are a carbon-neutral company and have achieved this by assessing their product and company carbon footprint with Climate Partner and then offsetting company emissions for 2021-22 and product emissions via certified forest, mountain and marine projects, respectively.

Giving Back

They are a member of 1% For The Planet. This means they give more than 1% of turnover every year to charity via their partnership with Flora & Fauna, the oldest conservation charity in the world and where Paul previously worked. Through donations to SeaTrees they also support the replanting of marine species to restore the health of the world's oceans.

In the UK, they are supporting the on-trade via The Drinks Trust and Equal Measures.
