The uniquely shaped Pearl Diver glass with its ribbed base rising to support a coupe-style bowl was popular mid-20th century Tiki bars across the USA. It became known as the Pearl Diver glass after the eponymous Don The Beach cocktail but was also for other Tiki drinks in place of a Collins glass.
Due to costly breakages and commonplace pilferage by customers and the high replacement cost, the Pearl Diver glass disappeared from regular commercial use by the 1970s.
This Pearl Diver glasses is an exacting replica of the original created by Cocktail Kingdom under the direction of Beachbum Berry.
