In 2015 the Patrón Perfectionist Cocktail Competition was launched in the UK and is now returning for a third year to encompass 18 countries. The aptly named competition challenges the world’s best bartenders to create a cocktail worthy of a perfectionist.
Bartenders take note! This is your chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to the Hacienda Patrón, in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico - a priceless experience. Compete to be crowned national Patrón Perfectionist and win the opportunity to compete in the Global Finals.
If you are a bartender in one of the following countries we strongly urge you to enter, after all, and to borrow a strap-line, "you've got to be in it to win it." The competition is open to bartenders in Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan, China, The UAE, Israel, Mexico, Canada and the UK, where five regional heats will take place between the 12th July until 8th August.
To compete in the UK you must register before midnight 18th June at PatronPerfectionists.com. Globally, competition entry deadlines range from 21st July to 29th September dependent on country. Please check PatronPerfectionists.com for more details.
National winners will head to Mexico for the semi-finals on 17th January 2018 and if successful will go through to the global final on Thursday 18th January 2018.
Talking about his experience, Mike McGinty, General Manager of Voyage of Buck and Global winner of Patrón Perfectionists Competition 2016 said:
"Participating in the Patrón Perfectionists Cocktail Competition 2016 was an incredible experience which has certainly helped raise the profile of me personally and for my bar. Visiting Hacienda Patrón in Mexico for the final was a once in a lifetime experience. To compete against hundreds of my peers and come out on top was a fantastic feeling and to see the response from the bartending community and my customers has been humbling and exciting. I'm so very thankful for the opportunity."
