This might seem like a weird suggestion, however! Hear me out.
I made a version with Nolie prat, and Citadel gin, and after having forced a few friends to try it. I found, that adding a few,(read 2-3) drops of simple sirup, massively improved the drink. It appears to open up and almost have a floral after taste, somewhat akin to a good Alsace Gewürztraminer

Noilly Prat is particularly dry vermouth so a few drops of sugar syrup sounds like a good idea to add balance. Indeed, your recipe sounds delicious.
