Fruit flies plague bars and kitchens. They find their way into bottles - especially wine and vermouth bottles, and swarm over cut fruit and beer taps...
Perhaps I shouldn’t admit it out loud but when I had a problem with fruit flies at my summer house I came up with my own idea for a trap. I used to leave a half of cut fruit (orange) on a table, after while when most flies in the kitchen sat on it I sprayed absinthe on them through flame so that they burned. I’ve never been proud of it so now reading this article I’m going to change my way of getting rid of them. Happy Holidays to everyone.
