Whichever system you use to omit oxygen, it is still better to also refrigerate as this helps preservation.

Switched from Coravin to decanting into 2 oz bottles. Easy to store in refrigerator box, easy to clean and always stays fresh.

Ikea sell the ENKELSPÅRIG range of stainless steel water bottles, with polypropylene caps and silicone seals, in various sizes. They used to be 30cl, 40cl, 50cl, and 70cl but it looks like the smaller ones may have been withdrawn from some markets. I have been decanting my vermouths and aromatized wines into these for a few years now, and then befridging them. It's much easier to finish a 30cl flask in two months than a 70cl bottle. Alas, a forest of identical yellow capped steel flasks lacks the beauty and poetry of the original bottles and their labels ..

Yes, that certainly confirms my experience. I’ve found even wine can keep for surprisingly long periods in the fridge.
