Love the High Ryeser and I agree the first skyscraper was the Home Insurance Building, but it was designed by William LeBaron Jenney, not Sullivan. As it happens, Jenney gave Sullivan his first job in Chicago -- as a draftsman in Jenney's office. Cheers!
