In Australia we seem to be getting various spirits at 40% abv rather than the listed abv as per this marvellous authoritative website. Including tanqueray “standard” and Woodford reserve bourbon. I wonder if it relates to Australian import duties! Google searching didn’t uncover helpful info that i could find. Anyone else know? And to what extent does this affect the flavour, since we seem to be talking c. 3-5% lower alcohol in each case?
Different tastes and different palates. Tanq is the gin that made me not try gin for many years. To me it just tastes like a christmas tree has been run through a blender. Too juniper forward.
