Can't remember off the top of my head sorry but I would roughly guess I would have put a whole shot in given I'd typically be making 2 or 3 at once. I used 2 teabags and maybe a 3rd of a teacup of hot water to make sure it was strong tea and the flavours would come through. You'll just have to experiment with what works for you. I love earl grey so don't mind it coming through strongly.
