Tried this with Johnnie Walker High Rye, Licor 43, and Giffard Creme de Mure. The color came out darker purple, as one could imagine. This JW High Rye I'm finding is too smooth of a Scotch. Maybe Black Label or a Dewar's White Label would be preferable... The drink does taste a bit jam-like up front, but its aftertaste does reveal some dryness.

Just tried it again with Dewar's, Tuaca, and once more the Giffard. The latter dominated, with the whisky being a strident extension of the spirits. Second drink with Tuaca, and it is a major (but unsurprising) letdown. No influence aside from a weak caramel infusion.
