With Belle de Brillet, Magloire Calvados VSOP, I get pear with apple, made savoury from the salty manzanilla, a touch of vanilla, nothing from the orgeat. A little sweet for an aperitif. There's something outstanding nearby. To repeat.

Dear Simon, your [Manzanita] is excellent (I've drunk it, and thoroughly enjoyed it, 8x since discovering it a year ago). Can I ask what specific apple/ cider eau-de-vie you used? (It's near-perfect as I make it, with Magloire VSOP calvados, Belle de Brillet, Lustau manzanilla, Monin orgeat. Could it be better/ 'perfect'?)
