A Scotch whisky Sidecar. I've trimmed back the citrus from the classic proportions to allow the whisky to shine

i used Cointreau, not really different from a whisky sour, however, that has a positivo side, its pretty straight forward, basic but nice.

The classic side car got us hooked on cocktails, this fruity sour will keep us hooked!

Made this with Monkey Shoulder and a pinch of flake salt - exceptional! Scotch makes this a less summery than the 'lemonade' that I thought it would be.

As someone who loves scotch and likes a good sidecar was interested and a little trepidatious how this would go. “Better than I thought” is my verdict. It retains the spirituous warmth-versus-sweet n sour quality of the standard sidecar. JWB for the scotch in this instance. Nice to try but doesn’t supplant the classic imo. Drink on!
