As far as I'm aware, the alcohol strength should mean it is ambient shelf stable for a prolonged period with no need to refrigerate. I've not experienced any issues.

Have you tried just using Knob Creek Maple-Bacon bourbon?

Here's what we do in our home bar:
60ml Knob Creek Maple Bacon Bourbon
10-20 ml (adjust to taste) Grand Marnier Cuvee Louis Alexander
2 dashes Ango
