Lemon on Fire

Gin, Lemon juice, Creole bitters

Bourbon whiskey, Brown sugar syrup 1:1, Aromatic bitters, Orange bitters
As far as I'm aware, the alcohol strength should mean it is ambient shelf stable for a prolonged period with no need to refrigerate. I've not experienced any issues.
Have you tried just using Knob Creek Maple-Bacon bourbon?
Here's what we do in our home bar:
60ml Knob Creek Maple Bacon Bourbon
10-20 ml (adjust to taste) Grand Marnier Cuvee Louis Alexander
2 dashes Ango
Hope you enjoy
Knob Creek makes a delicious maple-bacon bourbon, which I wonder might be an easy substitute. Add 2 dashes of Ango and we're off to the races!
Very correct on Knob Creek Maple-bacon bourbon (one of our house fav's)
60ml KC MB Bourbon
15-20 ml (adjust to taste) Grand Marnier Cuvee Louis Alexander
2 dashes Ango
Shake, strain, & go...
... and you will be very happy.
All I could taste was lemon in the even split listed 30ml each.
I adjusted down to 15ml lemon juice and it didn't really do it for me.
I can usually find some form of appeal in most drinks, but this one left me 'meh'
UPDATE:
After trying this at the JFK Capital One Lounge, I asked how they made it.... Oh what an improvement! So, taking their recipe and
15 ml Elyx Vodka
25ml Midori
30 ml Grand Marnier Cuvee Louis Alexander
20ml Volcano Lemon juice
2 dashes cucumber bitters
First, thank you Simon for an amazing cocktail.
I made this slightly differently with the same proportions.
Soto Junmai Diaginjo sake
Either Purity 34 or Botanist Islam Dry Gin
Absolut Elyx
Soho Lychee liqueur
Amazing!
I really enjoyed your creation. Upon reflection, I tried substituting Drambuie for the Amaro and was rather shocked at the beautiful play it brings.
You may wish to try it.
I have been enjoying this drink for a while.
Keeping the proportions I used Disaronno and Grand Marnier Cuvée Louis Alexandre with a solid XO or VSOP Cognac.
Cream choice is Heavy Whipping and grating a nutmeg over the drink, not using a powder.
I would highly recommend getting into this for spring! It is excellent, but I liked it more with Stirrings Ginger liqueur vs the syrup. For the apple juice do not use a lower grade juice which tend to add high fructose corn syrup or has added sugar. Definitely use a 'cold pressed' juice and not from concentrate. (You'll thank me later.)
Why I love this drink: Zubrowka and Polish apple juice are very loved item in Poland and this cocktail brings back so many fond memories.
Very nice. I tried it twice with Botanist and Esme instead of Roku.
