Adnams invites you all to see the modern brewery and distillery that lies within its Victorian building lies. See how Adnams makes its award-winning beers and spirits, and make your very own gin.

Please note, you must be over 18 to join one of Adnams tours or experiences. Brewery and distillery tours are subject to cancellation if there are less than six participants – if this should happen Adnams will contact you by phone and do their best to book you on another tour. Make your Own Gin experiences are excluded from this cancellation policy.

Brewery tours

Your tour of the Adnams brewery will explain the beer making process from start to finish. You’ll explore the choice of ingredients and how Adnams make their beers, through to tasting the final delicious product.

Brewery tours run daily and last approximately one hour and are followed by a 30 minute tutored beer tasting. Brewery Tours cost is £12 per person, which includes the tour, tastings, and a bottle of beer to take home.

Distillery tours

Adnams Copper House Distillery sits within the brewery and the top of the building you can see some of the best views in Southwold, looking across the rooftops to the Lighthouse and North Sea beyond.

Discover how Adnams make their range of award-winning spirits from the start of the process in their state-of-the-art brewery through to distilling and sampling the finished product. You’ll also see their historic cellars where whisky is now matured.

The tour takes approximately one hour and is followed by a 30 minute tutored tasting in the Cellar & Kitchen store. Adnams will also give you 10% off any of their spirits if you fancy buying a bottle or two to take home with you.

Make your own gin

Spend a couple of hours in the Adnams Copper House Distillery with one of their Gin Makers who will guide you through the process of making your own gin, from selecting your own botanicals, through to the distillation process and naming, then labelling, your personal bottle.

As well as the opportunity to create your very own gin to take home, you'll also be able to taste Adnams range of spirits and they’ll give you 10% off our spirits range in the Southwold Cellar and Kitchen store.

The Adnams Make Your Own Gin experience costs £70 per person.

Private, group and evening tours

Private tours are available for groups of ten or more and can be tailored to suit your needs. Combined tours of both Adnams brewery and distillery for groups of 10 or more cost £17 per person.
