Living in Mexico, I replace Benedictine with Xtabentun (D'Aristi), a Yucatan honey-and-green-anís liqueur with flower and herbal notes. Works just fine! Loved to find a version of my teenage-years favorite Singapore Sling that uses my home state Jalisco's signature drink Tequila! No I did not use Patrón! What can I say - 'replace' is my middle name! Lime fresh from our tree made this ever so bright and refreshing.
