No one has ridiculed anyone. People celebrate the holidays with special food and drink recipes. If you don't want to celebrate,then don't complain if others do. All of the recipes are wonderful and respectful of the holiday
If you click on the ingredient name in the recipe, you should find this link to a page with more information. If you then find yourself on a brand page, you should see another link to other brands within the product’s generic category. In this case, “See more Génépi liqueurs”.
Sadly, European producers find the US label, general TTB regulations, the three-tier system, and now tariffs to be barriers to entry. Hence, the scarcity of more niche products such as génépi.

Other brands of génépi liqueur are widely available internationally and are now often used in place of Chartreuse.
Hi Simon. I love your website. Is it possible for you to post more information about substitutions for liqueurs not easily available in the USA? I am in the second largest metro area in the USA,and I still have trouble finding products such as the green or yellow chartreuse,some gins,and liqueurs.
I know it is possible to substitute,but I am not sure which is the best substitute for the flavor profile you suggest. Thank you
