I made with pineapple juice instead of syrup. For my taste, the lemon was overpowering. I would try cutting back to ¾ or ⅔ fl oz (maybe not an issue if I had used pineapple syrup. The amaretto gives it a nice tiki flavor with the maltiness of the genever.
The smoky mezcal balances the bitter gentian (Suze) well (much better than a White Negroni).
