Subbing out the rye whiskey for a rum is a fun twist as well (and more Trinidadian-aligned?). I've also subbed it with tequila, mezcal, and smoky Islay scotch. Fun cocktail. I love it.

I adore this. My palate is not a fan of the standard orange curaçao and this brings the orange notes with a bit less sugar and some extra character.
