Apple juice and dry vermouth is one of the vilest combinations anyone could possibly come up with. Adding gin to the mix only makes it worse (somehow!)
This may be a success for fans of smokey Scotch, but for others, this needs a LOT more masking. I found it worked okay with equal parts Maraschino and Scotch and with some lemon juice to balance the sweetness. The absinthe is certainly a welcome addition.
