I liked how balanced this cocktail is. Despite very spirit forward, the mouth feel is surprisingly smooth. The pimento dram and amaro really pairs wonderfully with the spiciness of the rye. Since I didn't have calvados I went with 2 Oz of rye (95 proof). I also don't have pimento dram bitters, so in order to maintain a wintery vibe I added 1 dash of black walnut bitters and 2 dashes of angostura. Next time I'll try a different amaro, the 1/2 Oz is just enough to play with the flavour profile and tune the flavour to one's liking. Cheers
