The Orkney Islands are about as far north as you can go without leaving the British Isles, only the Shetlands and Fair Isles stop the Orcadians from being able to claim that they inhabit the most northerly part of the UK. However, at 58.6 deg north, Highland Park is without question the most northern whisky distillery in the world and one of the longest established distilleries in Scotland.
