The name of this superb but rustic and simple little wine bar translates as 'The Lord's Vineyard' and it lies across the square from the church of Santa Maria del Mar.
The international list changes regularly with an eclectic mix of wines, cavas and sherries to choose from. Much of the stock lines the walls of the bar.
The décor lacks any pretensions and is delightfully tatty around the edges - like a well-worn pair of jeans. Unless you're lucky enough to nab one of the stools at the marble bar counter then inside is pretty much standing room only. There are a handful of tables out in the square but perhaps the best is the table at the top of the steep spiral staircase which leads up to the loos. This unromantic sounding spot is secluded and overlooks the square.
The tapas, and in particular the jamón and mixed plate of local cheeses, live up to the high quality of the wines. As the staff for recommendations their knowledge of the wines is top notch.
